For best results, the concrete must have been treated with a densifying product in order to achieve very high shine. This applies to any method or diamond you may use. The densifying chemical will make the shine higher because it helps to close the pores.  Use at low speeds is recommended for the best results. More information will be released as the show gets closer.

The 39 Year History (1975-2013)

Introduced to the commercial construction industry in Houston, Texas in February 1975, World of Concrete presented 77 exhibiting companies in 22,200 net square feet of exhibit space with 1,550 construction industry professionals in attendance. 38 years later, World of Concrete now boasts more than 1,300 exhibiting companies and 50,000 registered industry professionals in more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space. The addition of World of Masonry and Technology for Construction expanded the range of attendees to include these important segments of the construction industry.

JC Penney is soon to begin a large remodeling program in their retail stores. As part of this remodeling varying
floor sections will feature polished and stained concrete. The new store layout involves multiple “stores” within the
store and each will have its own identity and flooring. The work will be done in various stages, with the first “wave”
of work beginning on June 25, 2012.

The first wave involves 650+ store projects across the country. The work scope includes two approximately 2,000
square foot sections and one 500-1000 sf section where tile will be removed and the concrete repaired, stained
and polished.

The start of work on June 25th. This is a fast track program and the intention is for
the all work to be completed by the end of July. There will be additional work released in the future but scopes and
colors have not yet been determined.
